My T22 will not respond to SMS

If the GSM light is solid red
  • There may be no GSM signal. If so then check with a mobile phone to see if there is a signal in the area or try to call the unit to see if you receive a ringtone.
  • There may be no SIM card installed.
  • The SIM card may have expired.
  • The SIM card may have a PIN code set. Remove the PIN code by inserting the SIM in a phone and deleting the code.
  • The SIM card may be warped or damaged. Try another SIM card to see if that will work.
  • Roaming may not be enabled. If you are in a different country your SIM account must have roaming enabled.
  • The battery may be low. Recharging the unit for a minimum of 5 minutes will enable the GSM to start working.

The unit could be sleeping
Wait for unit to wake up or activate the motion detector.

The user may not be authorised
Check that the user's telephone number is added to the User List.

The user may not have a high enough authority for the command
Check the User's authority with the LISTUSER command. The T22 unit will not respond to any unauthorised commands.

If none of the above works then remove the battery and re-insert it.
